2024 CSCC ROAD RALLY SEASON

 
Ghouls Gambol Results

Cascade’s 58th anniversary running of the Ghouls Gambol Road Rally on Saturday, Oct. 26, was a fun drive on scenic country roads, through autumn-colored countryside. Rallymasters Kerrie and Marcus Gattman developed the 100-mile route that started at Milwaukie Lowe’s and ended at the Whalen Oaks Farm Pumpkin Patch a bit over three hours later.

Congratulations to the top rally teams:

First overall and first in the Equipped Category with 29 points -- Bob Morseburg and Cheri Eddy
Second overall and first in the SOP Class with 56 points -- Alexander Castaneda and Eric Hanson
Third overall and second SOP with 133 points -- David and JoAnn Gattman
Tied for fourth overall and third SOP, both with a score of 166 -- Joel and Aksel Bristol and Torm Kelsey-Green and Kasey Klaus 
Tied for fifth overall, both with a score of 192 -- Marinus and Renee Damm finishing second in Equipped and Bill and Kelly Ferber finishing fourth SOP
Third Equipped -- Robert Paxman and Chris Lane
First in the Novice class -- Attis (Anthony) Tran and Abigail Partlow
Second Novice -- Chris and Karyn Williams
Third Novice -- Aaron Bucci and Tracy Fasse.

And the decorated car contest winners are:

Car #1 with David and JoAnn Gattman -- Ghostbusters
Car #3 with Bill and Kelly Ferber – Peanuts Great Pumpkin
Car #6 with Attis (Anthony) Tran and Abigail Partlow – 666

The top rally finishers and decorated car winners were awarded commemorative refrigerator magnets and, of course, candy bars. The taste of victory is always sweet. Congratulations to all!

Rally School  - Start the season with a virtual review of TSD road rally rules and procedures on Friday evening. Then run a practice road rally on Saturday morning to test your driving skills and navigational knowledge.

Saturday Rally Series - Compete for Series awards. Best five of six finishes count toward Series points.  To be eligible to win a season award, run at least three Series events.

Mountains to the Sea - Enjoy a full-day tour-style rally, following a fun to drive scenic route, starting in Portland and ending at the Pacific Ocean (Seaside, OR).

Ghouls Gambol - Cascade's Halloween daytime road rally explores autumn-colored foothills and farmland along scenic country roads. This easy time-speed-distance road rally takes about three hours to complete, including a mid-rally break. Expect treats and maybe some tricks. Prizes for top rally finishers and best decorated cars.

Entry Fee:

All rallies except Mountains to the Sea:

$25 per car for CSCC members
$35 per car for non-members


Mountains to the Sea:

$60 per car for CSCC members
$85 per car for non-members


Save with a Series Pass. $150. Includes entry in Rally School and all six Saturday Series rallies. Register just once to enter all seven events. Run the same car number with the same start time at each rally. Available to CSCC members only. CSCC membership is available online.

Save more with a Season Ticket. $210 for a 9-event season ticket. Includes all benefits and events in the Series Pass, plus entry in Mountains to the Sea and Ghouls Gambol. Available to members only.  CSCC membership is available online.


2024 Cascade Geargrinders road rallies:

Cascade Geargrinders road rallies are beginner friendly time-speed-distance events, starting and ending in the Portland area. Rallies are about 100 miles long and take three to four hours to complete. First car starts at 10:01 a.m.

Online registration is required: MotorsportReg.com.

Entry requires a street-legal vehicle, a licensed and insured driver, a navigator, and a smart device (cell phone or tablet) running the Competitor Richta GPS Checkpoints app (app is free).

Rallies are conducted in accordance with the current Road Rally Rules.
